Administrative Assistant / Scale Operator

Division: OmniSource Overview:

Performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the division.

Responsibilities:

- Daily Time logs

- Maintain weekly schedules, Saturday sign-up, employee vacations and appointments

- Replenish cashier – countdown safe and order cash

- Maintain discrepancy, cost center and production reports

- Schedule and coordinate operational and safety meetings, attend as needed

- Event planning

- Maintain tool box talks

- Order office and safety supplies

- Provide excellent customer service at all times

- Cross train in all areas including scale operator (requires rotating Saturday schedule)

Qualifications:

- Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)

- Strong communications skills both verbal and written

- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management

- Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multi-task

- Preferred:

- High School education or GED

- Operating knowledge of retail scale

- Experience working in JD Edwards/SAI
