GR Energy Services is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
•Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk
•Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
•Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
•Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
•Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAGE)
•Proficiency in English and in MS Office
•High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
•Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
•Must live in the Houston/Sugar Land area
Job Responsibilities:
•Review and verify invoices and check requests
•Sort, code, and match (3-way P.O. matching) invoices
•Track expenses and process expense reports
•Enter and upload invoices
•Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
•Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
•Set invoices up for payment
•Prepare and perform check runs
•Post credit card transactions into Accounting System
•Reconcile credit card statements and collect all GR employees’ receipts
•Resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
•Monitor payable accounts to ensure payments are up to date
•Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
•Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
•Produce monthly reports and assist with month end closing
•Provide supporting documentation for audits
•Prepare analysis of accounts
Experience:
•5-7 years of Accounting experience required
•Associates degree preferred
•Possess strong organizational and time management skills
•Proficient in data entry and data management
•Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
