BJE Industrial Supply Inc. is currently looking for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Accounting Bookkeeper in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will perform full circle accounting duties including AR, AP, Payroll, and Account Reconciliations. Experience with Sage 50, Evolution, and working within a product sales/distribution model is an asset.
- Perform timely and accurate entries of payables, reconciliation of supplier statements, preparing payables runs
- Review of outgoing invoicing for accuracy; uploading to customer portals
- Following up on outstanding receivables, in a professional and friendly manner
- Preparing financial statements, sales reports, inventory reports
- Payroll, full circle, including year-end reviews and T4 audit and preparation
- Attending training and staff meetings as required
- Have good organizational and time management skills
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills required; experience with accounting programs, excel. Working in a paper-less environment
- Bookkeeping Certification, Payroll certification and Accounting Certification is an asset
This is a dedicated in-house position, no service providers or freelancers
Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm, flex shift may be available to the right candidate
