About This Job

Major Responsibilities:

•

Process and maintain all activity for supplier accounts, employee corporate cards and miscellaneous payments.

•

Ensure compliance with company policy on all cash

•

Assist in developing and maintaining the financial and maintenance

•

Create and develop reports for tracking and reporting

•

Reconcile and review general ledger

•

Perform self-audits of invoice activity for adherence to Internal Control

•

Organize filing for all AP

•

Control and perform closing activities, including interfacing AP to the GL; creating journal entries; generating and distributing reports.

•

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and

•

Develop and maintain the financial web

•

Support Purchasing Unit with tracking and reporting of supplier

Position Accountabilities:

Knowledge of general accounting, accounting systems, general ledger, chart of accounts and company policies/procedures is valuable to this position. Independent thinking is related to processing and maintaining all activity for supplier accounts. Problem solving skills are necessary in performing the essential principle duties. Change adaptation is a required skill in the realm of tracking and ensuring accounting integrity and customer satisfaction. Procedural control includes accurate and timely payment of expenditures, posting expenses to the general ledger, developing and maintaining the accounts payable and traffic systems, as well as controlling the use of the corporate card. This position’s control affects the organization’s ability to pay on accounts properly.

Education: High School or equivalent preferred. Accounting courses are very helpful.

Experience: Prior experience with general accounting exposure will help qualify individuals.

Essential Physical, Sensory, and Mental Requirements:

Incumbent will sit 6 hours, stand 1 hour and walk 1 hour per day. May lift and carry up to 15 lbs. 5 minutes per day. Will use telephone 1 hour per day. Will use computer at least 3 hours per day. Requires good vision, hearing and speaking. Must read, write and do math. Will primarily work indoors at a desk within a comfortable office environment.
