Our Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of project reporting for our Fortune 100 customers, as well as maintaining weekly billing processes and related communications/reports that affect multiple stakeholders.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team with a focus on labor management to assist payroll and billing. The Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the timekeeping processes to ensure payroll accuracy. The ideal candidate should possess general accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.
1. Timecard Management:
2. Oversee the accuracy of the timekeeping system, ensuring accurate recording and validation of employee work hours.
3. Review and reconcile timecards, resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
4. Collaborate with HR and department managers to address time-related inquiries and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
5. Process Improvement:
6. Identify opportunities to streamline timecard and payroll processes, implementing best practices to increase efficiency.
7. Evaluate existing procedures and systems, recommending improvements to enhance accuracy and productivity.
8. Support process automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and enhance data accuracy.
9. Payroll Support:
10. Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, based on validated timecard data.
11. Review payroll reports for completeness and accuracy before submission to finance and management.
12. Assist in resolving payroll-related inquiries and addressing payroll discrepancies, as they arise.
13. Financial Reporting:
14. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to labor costs, time utilization, and workforce productivity.
15. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations based on timecard data to support decision-making.
16. Assist in the production of accounting records including invoices, journal entries and other reconciliations.
17. Compliance and Audits:
18. Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and internal policies related to timekeeping and payroll.
19. Assist with internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely documentation as required.
