We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager with a strong machining background to join our team. This individual will serve as a key liaison between our company and our customers, ensuring exceptional support, technical expertise, and efficient management of inventory systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machining processes, the ability to test and evaluate tools, and the skills to manage an Inventory Management System (IMS) while building lasting customer relationships.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to support customer requirements, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Technical Expertise & Tool Testing
- Evaluate and test cutting tools, fixtures, and related machining products to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical guidance to customers on tool selection, usage, and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot tooling and machining challenges to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Manage and optimize customers’ IMS systems, ensuring proper stock levels of tools, PPE, and consumables.
- Track and analyze usage data to recommend inventory adjustments, cost savings, and improved efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment and accurate reporting.
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and support the onboarding of new clients.
- Prepare and deliver customized proposals and presentations based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and meet account growth objectives.
- Required:
- 3+ years of experience in machining, tooling, or manufacturing environments.- Hands-on experience with CNC machines, cutting tools, or related machining processes.
- Strong knowledge of machining applications and tool performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with operators, engineers, and decision-makers.
- Experience managing or working with an Inventory Management System (IMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Previous experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing technical support.
- Knowledge of vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs and related systems.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare usage and cost-saving reports for customers.
