As an account manager, you will be responsible for leading the proposal and sales activities of Babcock Power Services product lines within an assigned region.
Essential Responsibilities:
Relationship Management
•
Builds and maintains strong relationships with assigned clients.
•
Understands client goals, challenges, and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
•
Acts as the main point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and issues.
•
Develops relationships with internal business unit teams in support of integrated project opportunities
•
Develops in-depth knowledge of multiple company products.
•
Coordinates with Legal, Supply Management, Engineering, Quality, and Field Service Departments to cover all technical and commercial aspects of proposals.
Account Planning Strategies
•
Assists in development and implementation of sales strategies and promotional activities.
•
Partners with Sales Representatives to ensure Company has an effective customer coverage program.
•
Develops indicative pricing and performs early engineering analysis to develop opportunities.
•
Leads bid reviews by presenting strategy and commercial details.
Provides input to forecasts, schedules, and priorities for proposal activities Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
•
BS in Engineering or related field.
•
Excellent customer relationship, written & oral communication skills.
•
Excellent analytical and business skills.
•
Working knowledge of boilers, boiler auxiliary equipment, and boiler air quality control systems.
•
Working knowledge of various codes (ASME, NBIC, B31.1, etc.) and product application preferred.
•
Must be physically able to inspect enclosed equipment such as boiler drums, closed spaces, climb steps, and work at heights > 100ft.
•
20% travel to support project requirements
