TK Modular Systems designs, fabricates, and integrates modular process equipment and controls for the Biotech and Industrial markets. All process equipment and support structures are fabricated from stainless steel in a clean environment. Once designed and built, the systems are factory tested and installed on a client’s site.
Develops structural platforms, frame assemblies, and electrical conduit systems to support process piping and electrical infrastructure.
Manages and oversees the use of CAD software, ensuring the organization and efficiency of design projects, while providing technical support and training for users.
· Design & Development: Create detailed designs and specifications for custom pharmaceutical equipment using 3D CAD software.
· Design Reviews: Engage in design reviews to evaluate concepts, identify potential issues, and propose enhancements for functionality, manufacturability, and compliance.
· Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOM), design files, and project reports.
· Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs and processes meet regulatory requirements and adhere to company standards.
· Customer Specifications Review: Review customer specifications to ensure designs align with client needs and project requirements.
· Engineering Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, implement best practices, and optimize workflows for efficiency and consistency.
· Technical Calculations: Perform detailed engineering calculations used in structural and piping layouts.
· Collaboration: Work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliver customized solutions.
· Develop and maintain Autodesk Vault. Create and maintain format, templates and library components.
· A Bachelor’s degree or a three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
· A minimum of 7 years of experience in an engineering role within a custom equipment manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in 3D CAD software, Must have experience as admin role with Autodesk inventor. Experience with Creo will be an asset.
· Steel Structure Design and Welding Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in the design of steel structures, including the application of welding techniques for component fabrication.
· Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with applicable industrial codes and standards, including but not limited to OSHA, CWB, AWS, and CSA G40.21.
· Piping Experience and Pressure Vessel Design (Asset): Experience with piping systems, including design, installation, and integration into equipment and systems and pressure vessel, is considered a strong asset.
· Customer-Focused: Experience in reviewing customer specifications and preparing technical proposals for new projects.
· Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to solve complex engineering problems and apply innovative solutions.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
· Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions to optimize operations.
