Key Job Accountability (KJAs)
•Assist in the administration of the Engineering Departments CAD modeling software SolidWorks.
•The CAD Administrator Role will resolve training, software, and infrastructure needs, identify, and address urgent issues that hinder engineering productivity.
•Coordinate or provide training class opportunities for users.
•Managing CAD Library to develop a consistent and unique SPS MFG part number, feature cutouts for electrical components, and symbol libraries.
•Managing and maintaining existing and new product documentation, including 3D CAD models, specification sheets, etc.
•Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for CAD software administration, roadmap planning, and appropriate use.
•Leverage team resources to develop and document departmental work instruction.
•Evaluate new systems and products and introduce best practices.
•Conduct cross-business unit/IT communication.
•Transform business engineering requirements and challenges into solutions.
•Issue resolution and follow-through with software VARs, vendors and/or other departments and contracted groups as required for their timely resolution.
