Multi-skilled position responsible for gas measurement of high & low pressure pipeline gathering systems and plant facility. Maintain gas systems Lost & Unaccounted (L&U) for records and use as troubleshooting tool. Have working knowledge of oil and gas handling facilities and associated equipment and how it affects L&U gas.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of EFM Flow computers.
- Maintain differential pressures between 20 and 80 percent of calibrated range.
- Calculate volumes and rates, size orifice plates.
- Operate, inspect and maintain meter tubes.
- Maintain gas sampling systems, (composite gas samplers), collect gas samples and deliver to gas lab.
- Operate appropriate PC software (Excel, Work, Winnccu32).
- Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of gas chromatographs and BTU analyzers.
- Maintain custody meter witnessing schedule and liquid meter proving.
- Installation, programming and maintenance of remote communications hardware, (troubleshooting communications).
- Develop and maintain customer relations with producers and team. Operate a vehicle (must have a Texas drives license).
- Review daily volume report to identify plant balance issues and investigate variances.
- Compile and put together monthly volume statement for accounting by the 4th of the month.
- This includes utilizing most current gas samples for the month.

- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, weekend rotations, etc.).

- Five (5) years minimum experience in the measurement field.
- Self driven, accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Have working knowledge of industry best practices and API recommendations
- Experience working in a high & low pressure gas gathering system.
- Installation, programming, calibration and maintenance of EFM Flow computers (Totalflow, Autopilots, Omni), gas chromatographs.
- Ability to understand and interpret equipment manuals.
- Ability to coordinate, track project costs and expenditures using Excel spreadsheets.
- Validate gas measurement data before releasing to accounting department.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
