2026 Summer Intern- Legal

Overview:

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (“DGOC”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a US-based company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker symbol “DEC”. Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities:

If you’re a self-starter with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for learning while working collaboratively with others, Diversified Energy could be the place for you. Our 10–14-week summer internships offer real-world experience working in the daily operations of our rapidly growing company. As a Diversified intern, you will:

- Gain exposure to our oil and gas business while assisting with projects aligned with our company goals.

- Utilize your skills and enhance your knowledge in production and operations.

- Engage with and present to Diversified leaders.

- Take part in professional development activities such as training, site visits, and networking opportunities.

Intern- Legal:

An internship with the DGOC legal department might offer exposure/experience in the following areas:

- Based in Charleston, WV.

- Working with 4 - person law department, with attorneys licensed in TX, WV, PA, and KY.

- Case law research on topics impacting the business units, including real property matters, contract interpretation matters, damage matters.

- Contract drafting and negotiation – including settlement agreements, damage releases, master service agreements, rights of way, leases, facility relocation agreements.

- Participate in weekly legal department meetings.

- Corporate governance related tasks – drafting meeting minutes, corporate resolutions

- Negotiations with opposing counsel on potential settlement of claims and litigation

- Letter drafting

- Due diligence on acquisitions – real property reviews, title reviews, contract reviews and summaries of key points

- Assistance in closing of acquisitions and divestitures including management of process and trackers.

Qualifications:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be currently enrolled in a college/university program at the time of internship

- Self-starter with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic

- Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
