Role Description:

The Summer Intern, Community Engagement will support the outreach activities and assist with attending summer events and community outreach initiatives. This intern will play a key role in facilitating and coordinating engagement with the community, representing the organization at events, and helping strengthen relationships with local groups and stakeholders.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:

- A real-world experience on exciting projects

- Connections with recent college graduates and our company leaders

- Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead

Performance of other work-related duties as needed

Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:

- Assist with planning and organizing community outreach events and activities.

- Attend and represent the organization at summer outreach events.

- Support the development of engagement strategies and initiatives.

- Assist with community outreach documentation, including reports and feedback gathering.

Help build relationships with local groups, stakeholders, and participants in community events.

Required Skills & Qualifications


Required Experience:


Experience in community engagement, communications, or similar disciplines.



Minimum Education Requirements:


Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program


Must have at least 30 credit hours complete


Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average

Project management and organizational development skills.


Ability to work in teams and take initiative.


Ability to build positive rapport with community members and stakeholders.
