Position Summary
Responsible for planning and scheduling the maintenance of fixed assets in support of section and personnel. Create, maintain, and plan the asset registry and preventive maintenance systems in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Process, review, and coordinate daily work order requests. Perform site visits to all facilities to scope, plan, and schedule the proper number of personnel needed to perform jobs as needed. Oversee and evaluate the planning and scheduling work produced by others.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee efficient planning and scheduling of all activities related to maintaining and extending the life of the assets and infrastructure of each respective section.
- Assist supervisors on planning and scheduling of all department maintenance requests to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner to achieve total customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate schedules of personnel assigned to work being accomplished for planning and scheduling purposes.
- Responsible for assessing computerized analysis in order to schedule all maintenance activities to achieve the most efficient use of labor and resources.
- Ability to use CMMS or Maximo for planning, scheduling, and reporting on all maintenance activities.
- Research standardized documents, job plans, and preventive maintenance procedures for new equipment installations, and maintenance of existing equipment through the CMMS.
- Develop factual, timely, and useful reports based on an analysis of requirements and performance measurements.
- Research, standardize, and document equipment practices and procedures according to accepted industry standards for all maintenance trades.
- Responsible for the inventory of spare and ordered repair/installation parts available and establishment of levels of inventory stock required.
- Oversee inventory items to ensure timely supply of non-stocked inventory items are provided to vendors.
- May be required to perform on call duty, work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Perform related work as required.
Additionally, the Work Sr. Planner for Asset management will be responsible for the following:
- Data entry and work order management in Denver Water’s CMMS. This may include specialized work associated with contracts including site visits and contractor coordination.
- Managing work order processes, approval workflow as well as compliance with organizational work management standards that improves work order quality and enables operational efficiency.
- Scheduling of maintenance activities between contractors, trades and asset owners and acting as the coordinator for maintenance activities.
- Assist contract administrators with invoice approvals and work validation.
- Assists in preventative maintenance program optimization.
- Quality Control on work completed by contractors and internal asset maintenance.
- Attends project coordination meetings as needed.
- Assist in maintaining Denver Water’s asset registry including commissioning and decommissioning of assets, maintaining accurate asset attribution, etc.
- Obtaining estimates for work requests received from asset owners.
- Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
