Are you in? Primary Purpose:
- Ensure reliability of utility company operations by creating work packages for repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment modifications.
- Develop work plans that ensure that work force operates in a safe and efficient manner by (1) determining applicable utility company policies, programs and processes; (2) identifying relevant codes and standards; and (3) incorporating industry and operational "lesson learned" experiences.
- Specific to Field Operations: Responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, procedures and programs to operate the electric distribution system in a safe, reliable and efficient manner with the welfare of employees, customers, the public and shareholders in mind.
- Plans and coordinates the work accomplished for craft union personnel engaged in the operation and maintenance of company electric facilities and equipment
- Coordinates work in a manner that ensures the safe, efficient, economical and timely completion of work with high regard for customer satisfaction in accordance with strategic initiatives.
- Recommend and execute strategies for completing annual programmatic maintenance.
- Ensure work is identified to proper equipment in company software applications.

- - The Work Planner is responsible for the coordination of all scheduled and emergent work for transmission & substation department. Work Planner will work directly with WWM, AME team, OCC arrangers/work coordinators, and SPCM to ensure department schedule is accurate, any outside resources required resources needed are available to complete all the scheduled work.
- Work with Project Management to ensure accurate tasking of various capital projects.
- Screen work requests that come from outside the department for accurate priority assignment and verification that no prior work orders exist for the issue. Action work requests into work orders.
- Create work orders or communicate with PM as needed for issues relayed back from the field.
- Ensure P10 & P20 completion in a timely manner to ensure KPIs are met.
- Assure work order maintenance (proper statusing and on-time closure of tasks) to ensure KPI metrics are at or above targets.
- Work directly with WWM, SPCM, and upper departmental management to select, plan, and coordinate capital projects each season.

- Attend various weekly meetings:
- Attend Work screening calls, provide insight into new work requests & provide updates on ongoing P10 & P20 work.
- Assemble work packages weekly for the upcoming execution week.
- Conduct field walkdowns, when needed, to identify and analyze corrective and preventative maintenance, modification, and function activities
- Provide technical and administrative direction/guidance to work crews via creation of work package instructions to ensure safe and complete work processes.
- Interface and collaborate with all levels of management, from multiple organizations.
- Provide project management over planning initiatives and work practices.

- Utilize P6 software and Access Suite 8 to ensure scheduling information and documents (i.e., Materials, Permits, TCP, Signed Designs, WOP) are uploaded and accurate for the schedule groups involved.
- Schedule and coordinate work within departmental budgets. Plan work activities directed at achievement of business plans and business unit objectives.
- Coordinates with the Work Management Team to ensure job schedule dates do not need to be delayed based on material or other factors. To ensure the safe, efficient, economical, and timely completion of work with high regard for customer satisfaction in accordance with strategic initiatives.
- Assist with optimizing the practices, policies, procedures, and programs to operate the electric distribution system in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner with the welfare of employees, customers, the public and shareholders in mind.
- Regular contact with Engineering New Business and other related departments to ensure the Work Management process is known and followed to have direct impact on reliability and customer satisfaction goals, the public, political, and regulatory opinion of the company.

- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering AND 2 - 4 years' experience in the craft or discipline in which he/she will develop planned work packages or schedule field orders, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3-6 years' experience in craft or discipline in which he/she will develop planned work packages or schedule field orders.
- For ComEd T&S Only: Employee will be required to successfully pass a comprehensive T&S Training Program. Failure to pass training classes with adequate scores will be subject to the Loss of Employment Policy HR -AC-20.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to adapt to new or changing conditions.
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain.
- Knowledge P6 and AS8 software and/or other scheduling tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Operations and Engineering procedures, workflows and documents (i.e., Permits, TCP, job designs, WOP).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $76,800.00/Yr. – $105,600.00/Yr.
