Wind Technician, Coating Lead

Job description

Wind Technician II will be primarily tasked with leading paint remediation crews. Duties to include, but are not limited to:

· staging of tools and equipment

· hazard observation and mitigation

· removal of tower components to gain access to affected areas

· corrosion remediation via sanding, grinding, sandblasting, etc.

· blending of gouges, scratches in steel substrate and/or coating

· substrate preparation, to include the use of salinity testing and roughness comparators

· C5 compliant epoxy/polyurethane coating via micro-foam rollers and conventional or airless spray rigs

Our technicians travel performing specialized repairs and maintenance on wind turbines.

Must Travel 100% - Flexible R&R schedules available.

While traveling, you receive a daily per diem to cover the cost of meals and incidentals. Company provides hotels and transportation. PAID TRAVEL TIME!!

This is a 100% travel role for work to be done across the United States.

Pay Range: $26-$30+/hour depending on experience, overtime expected.
