Welder Helper

Responsibilities:

- Assist welders in fabricating and assembling metal structures

- Perform welding tasks under the guidance of experienced welders

- Operate machinery such as Torch cutting equipment

- Assist with machining and rigging activities

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:

- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Prior experience in a welding or metal fabrication environment is a plus

Note: This position is for a Welder Helper role. The primary responsibility is to assist experienced welders in various tasks related to metal fabrication. The ideal candidate should have some mechanical knowledge and be willing to learn from experienced professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fort Saskatchewan, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- Welding: 1 year (preferred)
