Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Welder, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements.

- Conduct quality inspections on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling during the welding process.

- Execute rigging tasks as needed for positioning materials and components.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Skills

- Proven experience in construction site environments.

- Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, and plasma cutting techniques.

- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.

- Experience with fabrication processes including ductwork assembly and pipe threading.

- Strong understanding of basic math principles for accurate calculations in welding tasks.

- Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively.

- Knowledge of machining processes is a plus.
