The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. Welding- 035 Hardwire MIG welding, limited custom fabrication.
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Set up fixtures and welds various items using various cutting, burning equipment, and setting correct weld machine parameters prior to welding.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are produced to meet specific drawing.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Meet department productivity standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of safety products, drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to read a tape measure & basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
- Must be able to pass HSP Weld Test with full understanding of shielding gases, positions, joint configurations, wire feed rates and establishing proper welding.
