The Team Lead reports to the Project manager in charge of our Kelowna warehouse location. The Team Lead is responsible for the timely execution of the day-to-day tasks related to all aspects of a Distribution Center, Resource Planning, meeting KPIs expectations; as well as providing leadership to a team of direct reports. This position requires strong leadership skills and hand on experience. The Team Lead is required to meet the goals and objectives of KTI Utility Services while providing customers (external & internal) with a positive experience.

What would your day look like as a Team Lead with KTI?
•Provide tactical leadership and direction to his/her direct reports
•Ensure a Customer-centric approach is maintained at all times
•Conduct daily resource planning based on inbound, outbound and value-added services (VAS)
•Provide and contribute to Monthly, Quarterly and Annual resource planning and forecasting
•Ensure HOT order timelines are met
•Develop, monitor and oversee the timely execution of all assigned VAS
•Ensure FIFO (expected ship dates) is applied to all outbound orders
•Work with KTI Inventory Analyst to ensure inventory integrity, turns and correct allocation to holding & main accounts
•Organize and supervise Annual and Cycle inventory counts
•Coach and mentor direct reports
•Develop and recommend Key Performance Indicators to drive continuous operational improvements
•Monitor time and attendance of direct reports
•Ensure DC team is compliant with KTI corporate policies (Employee Handbook)
•Identify opportunities for improvement (OFIs)
•Work alongside the Director in developing DC policies and procedures to achieve operational excellence
•Perform bi-annual performance reviews of direct reports
•Participate in assigned meetings and calls
•Escalate all pending issues to the Director
•Identify when refresher courses/training (ie: NetSuite, Processes, etc) are required for his/her direct reports
•Engage other DC Leads to leverage Best Practices / Share Knowledge / Lessons Learned
•Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
Who is our ideal candidate?
•2+ years of leading a DC team
•Current professional certification (Plog, CITT, APICS..)
•Hands on experience with the pick, pack, ship process
•Hands on experience with the receiving process
•Hands on experience with inbound appointment scheduling
•Experience in a manual and automated DC environment
•Knowledge of NetSuite is considered an asset
•Must be able to work in a team environment
