Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Assistant to support our growing operations and ensure seamless material handling and inventory control.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in the supply chain for solar energy system installations. This position is responsible for the safe handling, storage, and organization of materials, tools, and equipment used in solar projects, while adhering to all California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

● Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of solar panels, electrical components, racking systems, and related equipment

● Prepare and stage materials for delivery to job sites

● Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software

● Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

● Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations and company safety policies

● Perform routine warehouse maintenance, including cleaning and organizing storage areas

● Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks

● Collaborate with the installation and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of job site material needs

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or GED required

● Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment; experience in solar or electrical industry preferred

● Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety practices

● Familiarity with Cal/OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards

● Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)

● Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in warehouse and yard environments

● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

● Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
