EcoVapor Recovery Systems is a growing Denver, Colorado, based firm applying innovative engineering to develop technology and products that solve critical emission control problems in the oilfield and other emissions-generating industries by eliminating the need for routine, 24/7 flaring practices Instead, EcoVapor's patented products and processes allow operators of oil and gas production sites and biogas facilities to profitably sell that gas that would otherwise end up as air emissions / pollution.
EcoVapor designs fully packaged turn-key systems which include third-party components combined with custom engineered pressure vessels, control panels and other mechanical components. EcoVapor was founded in 2010, is headquartered in Denver, CO, and operates out of Service Centers currently located in Greeley, CO, Midland, TX, Williston, ND, and Roosevelt, UT.
As a dynamic, learning organization that operates in the changing landscape of emissions, regulations, and ESG, EcoVapor has recently introduced new products with more to come. EcoVapor is looking for the right fit to support our existing systems including ZerO2s, VMS Sytems, Sulfur Sentinels, Tank Commanders, Emissions Scouts, EcoForce blowers, Gas Dryers, VRU’s and beyond.
Each Service Team is individually led by Regional Operations Superintendents that oversee the day-to-day service requirements of our customers and equipment and ensure they are addressed by their staff of technicians and also perform service work as required. They also have direct oversight over their staff, scheduling, facilities, tools, staff training, and upkeep thereof.

Job Overview
EcoVapor is seeking a seasoned Technician with mechanical expertise in RNG and VRU applications to join our Operations Team. This role requires experience in the Oil and Gas and RNG industry, along with knowledge of electrical components such as heaters and motors, electronics, and rotating equipment such as blowers, screw compressors, and VRUs.
Success in this position will require working collaboratively with others at EcoVapor, including the Rockies Operations Superintendent, fellow Service Technicians, and the Engineering Team. However, self-reliance is valued at EcoVapor, and the ability to manage your way to a set objective is a requirement for success in this role.
In addition, this position requires a willingness to travel throughout the regions we service to support field operations and customer needs.
· Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
· Drive and work in a safe manner. Watch out for the safety and well-being of other EcoVapor employees and others at work sites.
· Perform preventative maintenance on ZerO2 oxygen removal systems, Sulfur Sentinel gas sweetening systems, and related gas processing equipment, including motors, blowers, screw compressors, coolers, and other machinery. Responsibilities include cleaning, lubricating, and servicing components commonly used in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Natural Gas/Biogas industries. Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment.
· Assess problems with oxygen removal systems, motors, blowers, and other equipment. Communicates / confirms strategies with Regional Superintendent.
· Assess workload daily and discuss priorities / plan of attack with Regional Superintendent and area Service Coordinator. Works with peers to achieve team’s goals.
· Confirm that Service Request Orders or Purchase Orders are approved before starting work.
· Work with Regional Superintendent and/or Service Coordinator to order and procure parts, equipment, and other supplies as necessary.
· Communicate work to be done with customer's representative ensuring awareness of when the job will start and when it is completed.
· Accurately and completely fills out required forms associated with service work, including Job Safety/Hazard Assessments and Field Service Tickets. JSA must be completed prior to starting each job which includes all other personnel on site, including EcoVapor, operator employees, and contractors.
· Drive EcoVapor vehicles such as pickup or crane truck to and from work sites safely.
· Operate crane safely and within its operating parameters.
· Performs repair to above systems as instructed, aiming for maximum reliability.
· Coupling alignment between motor and blower /compressor shafts.
· Apply lubricants to rotating equipment per maintenance schedule.
· Test repaired system(s) afterwards to confirm repair was effective.
· Log time, jobs performed, and parts used on work order within EcoVapor’s ERP system. (Syteline)
· Knowledge of machinery and electrical systems and their components.
· Responsible for having Service Repair / Work Order signed by operator's representative on site if required.
· Participates in all internal and 3rd party safety training programs and meetings.
· Attend and/or participate in operator required safety orientation and other meetings when requested.
· Language Ability: Speak and understand English, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Math Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret graphs.
· Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Familiarity with failure analysis and root cause analysis
· Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, AMI Watchdog, HMI Setup, Workday. Basic knowledge of ERP Systems.
· Familiarity with electrical/mechanical/process systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
· Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus.
· Experience with pressure vessels, rotating equipment, process piping, and valves is a plus.
· Collaborative outlook with ability to self-manage way to meeting objective – on time.
· Experience in, or ability to adapt to a small team environment where team members must exhibit flexibility and team-oriented behavior in close working relationships.
· Ability to work sometimes unusual hours to meet deadlines.
Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on qualifications
