RNG Natural Gas Processing Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled RNG Gas Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and uptime of renewable natural gas upgrading and processing systems. These are generally made up equipment common to membrane and amine separation systems, dehydration systems, compression and flare equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical and process aptitude and the ability to work with various control systems and equipment in the biogas processingindustry. The Gas Technician will ensure that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently while adhering to industry regulations.

Duties

- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and optimize gas processing systems and associated equipment.

- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and relevant instrumentation to ensure successful operation of the gas processing equipment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the gas processing systems.

- Perform routine inspections on gas equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Conduct equipment repairs as necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge and skills.

- Operate safely while performing tasks related to gas operations.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all aspects of work.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills

- Proficient in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.

- Strong knowledge of instrumentation common to natural gas processing such as pressure, flow, temperature and level sensors, transmitters and switches.

- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and equipment specifications.

- Understanding of safe work practices around natural gas processing, H2S, LEL, Confined Space, etc.
