We are seeking a Vice President of System Product Management to lead the product development, planning, and strategy for System Hardware products including solar modules, inverters and energy storage systems (ESS) and Software products including energy platforms, cloud, mobile app and the platforms led to the Virtual Power Plant to become a Grid Energy Service. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in system products, market requirements, and a track record of driving product innovation from concept to commercialization. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape the future of our solar inverter and ESS portfolio.
This position is based out of Santa Clara, California, with 20% business travel (domestic and international).
- Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for residential and commercial solar modules, inverters and ESS solutions both hardware and software.
- Lead product roadmaps, market research, and competitive benchmarking to drive innovation and market leadership.
- Establish and oversee profitability analysis, pricing strategies, and long-term business plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to align product development with business goals.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand product applications and enhance market positioning.
- Monitor North American energy market trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes to ensure product compliance and competitiveness.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, from conceptualization through prototype development and commercialization.
- Serve as a thought leader and industry spokesperson, representing the company at major events and trade shows.

- End-to-End Product Lifecycle Ownership
- Lead product strategy, development, launch, and lifecycle management with a strong sense of ownership and bias for action.
- Ensure product decisions are data-driven and aligned with business goals.
- Product Portfolio Management & Pull-Through
- Develop and manage the product portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment across products, features, and market needs.
- Identify cross-sell and pull-through opportunities to maximize portfolio value.
- Brand & Market Leadership
- Integrate branding strategy into product planning to strengthen product positioning and differentiation.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Pricing & Commercial Success
- Define pricing strategies that reflect product value and market dynamics.
- Work with commercial and sales teams to drive adoption and revenue growth.
- Launch Market-Leading Products
- Deliver successful product launches that set new standards in the industrial and/or energy verticals.
- Manage product-market fit and continuously optimize post-launch.- 15+ years of experience in solar, ESS, power electronics product management, or software platform related experiences with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong technical expertise in solar inverters, energy storage, and grid-tied both HW and SW systems.
- Extensive experience in product strategy, business development, and market analysis.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills who had experience leading the size of 30+ team members.- Strong understanding of North American solar and ESS market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- Deep knowledge of PV, ESS, and grid integration technologies.
- Industry certifications in electrical and electronics engineering.
- Experience in strategic planning, product commercialization, or sales in the North American solar and ESS market.
The salary offered within this range will depend upon multiple factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, prior experience and other operational considerations. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. The salary listed is also inclusive of salary, bonus and benefits.
