Kings Energy Services serves the Energy Industry and Industrial sectors Canada-wide specializing in sales, distribution, and service of valves, instrumentation & electrical products. It is also a solutions provider to the Oil and Gas Drilling Sector specializing in recertification, machining, and manufacturing. Since 1977 it has offered superior shop and field service through its seven regional locations across Canada.
PSV Team Lead Position Summary:
The PSV Team Lead is responsible for leading the team by providing direction and instruction on various projects. They will guide the repair and servicing of various safety valves as per the manufacturer’s recommended procedures while upholding the fundamental concepts of King’s Energy Services Ltd. Quality Management System.
Position Responsibilities:
•Implement, and oversee the company’s valve servicing procedures (PSV & ANSI/API) to ensure that they are completed in accordance with King’s Quality Control Manual and comply with legislative requirements.
•Work with the Branch Administrator on scheduling work, customer, and paperwork requirements.
•Assist in reviews and possible hiring and termination of employees.
•Establish and ensure quality of personnel and standards of work.
•Assist with employee development - training, courses & documentation
•Maintain and communicate all quality control issues with regards to PSV servicing and assist in other areas.
•Assign and prioritize tasks to individuals on the shop floor, making sure work orders are filled out in accordance with customer and company requirements.
•Ensure validity of data input and integrity of information is properly recorded in the VeeBase system.
•Ensure employees are educated effectively in the position they hold. (ie. Assisting in the training of individuals in PSV, ANSI/API “Greenbook”)
•Responsible for holding daily “toolbox” instruction / safety meetings.
•Work with other Mangers and Team Leads in setting up future quality control mechanisms for the company. Accountable to API Q1 / ISO certification as required.
•Travel to other branches to assist with workloads / training as needed.
•Maintain and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
•Research and update the latest valve services, training, and technology for the company.
•Work in an on-call rotation.
•Work closely with the Division Manager - Valves with evaluation and disciplinary action in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
•Work closely with the Division Manager – Valves with evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of required reporting and KPIs.
•Evaluate and maintain all records associated with the service process for the purpose of related departments, auditable records, monthly reporting KPIs.
•Initiate Nonconformance reports where inventoried, purchased, manufactured, serviced product or services do not meet Purchase Order, Contract, Work Order requirements.
•Perform self-study training on QHSE Procedures identified in the QF20.4 Training Matrix.
•Ensure reporting personnel have training on QHSE Procedures identified in the QF20.4 Training Matrix.
•Employee dealings – interviews, time & attendance management, disciplinary actions, etc. in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
•Safety dealings – documenting and reporting safety issues, incidents, investigations, inspections, FLA’s, etc. as per the company’s Safety Manual.
Our interest will be piqued by:
•Minimum 3-5 years of Safety Relief Valve servicing preferred.
•Knowledge of repair and testing of Safety Relief Valves.
•A High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Valid Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required.
•Any of the following: Forklift, Overhead Crane, First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO current safety certificates considered assets.
Working Conditions:
•Shop and field environments, with potential to travel to other branches or work on the onsite mobile unit.
•Must be available during busy turnaround schedules.
•Very hands-on role with standing for long periods and frequent kneeling, lifting, bending daily.
•Exposure to sudden loud noises (pops/bangs), harsh cleaning chemicals (Varsol), etc.
•Steel-toed boots required.
Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
