SCOPE:




The Team Lead is responsible for supervising a team, ensuring the efficient and high quality production of products. This includes monitoring work progress, training employees, and communicating production goals and procedure changes. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of the assembly process and prior experience in a Team Lead role. In addition, Team Lead II’s must have high attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively, skill in critical thinking and problem-solving, and a strong focus on quality and efficiency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead safety toolbox talks, participate in monthly plant safety meetings, & 6S Kaizen events.
Perform in process layered audits to ensure procedures are being followed and documentation is being completed thoroughly.
Maintain LDM boards with correct data, owners, and actions.
Team performs correct transactions and hour by hour boards filled out properly.
Review and execute work-center schedules for on-time delivery.
Assign daily tasks & duties to operators.
Inventory control all components counted for scrap, excess, etc.
FIFO and Wip lanes maintain.
Participate & Lead kaizens to eliminate waste and to increase productivity.
Work with training coordinator to develop team members.


EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:




Required:

Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

High attention-to-detail, including the ability to accurately follow instructions and execute production.
Ability to manage a group of people.
Ability to disseminate information thoroughly and accurately
At least 1-3 years of experience as a Team Lead.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
