Vacuum Truck Operator

Iron Slinger is Grande Prairie's newest Hot Oiling and Pressure Services company, founded by a group of industry leaders in 2022. We strive to become a top tier service provider in the Peace Region. We have recently expanded our services into vac trucking, and are looking for both experienced and dedicated operators and hard working, reliable swampers to crew our combo vac units.

Responsibilities:

Operators:

- Operate combo vac units and associated equipment to perform oilfield services in a safe and efficient manner.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the combo vac unit and related machinery.

- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.

- Collaborate with supervisors and crews to ensure proper job execution and customer satisfaction.

- Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies at all times.

- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Swampers:

- Assist vac operators in performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, unit organization/cleanliness, on the job tasks, and other duties that may come up unexpectedly

- Perform labor in the shop as requested by operations staff

- Occasionally may be asked to assist on other service line units, i.e. hot oilers, heaters or pressure pumpers

- Be on call and ready to work at a moment's notice when on shift

Requirements:

Operators:- At least 5 years of experience as Combo Vac Operator or in a similar role.

- Extensive knowledge of operating combo vac units and performing different sorts of cleaning jobs.

- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work long hours and be on-call as required.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Swampers:

-MUST have a minimum of a full class 5 license and have a reliable way to get to work on time at any time of day

- Reliable and can-do attitude

- Be punctual and answer the phone when called

- Willing to work hard and take orders from others

- Willingness to learn

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Class 1 or 3 License for operators, 5 for swampers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
