Haul Truck Operator

They must have the ability to safely operate a haul truck ensuring materials are delivered promptly.

The following is a list of duties relating to this position. These may be adjusted by the supervisor when required by the project. Your safety will always be our priority whenever tasks are assigned:

Key Responsibilities

- Follow all established policies, procedures, and best practices as well as industry specific regulations

- Always be physically and mentally fit for work

- Follow instructions provided by your supervisor

- Conduct daily inspections of the equipment before use

- Safely transport material as directed

- Ensure material is delivered to proper destinations

- Park the equipment in a safe manner when not in use

- Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment

- Report equipment location to supervisor accurately

- Report loads of material moved accurately

Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of related experience

- Certificates and Licenses: Ontario Common Core (must include module U0091)

- Ability to understand and follow instructions

- Experience working in an underground mine

- Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Accommodations and meals are provided while at the mine site. Based at our project near Thunder Bay, Ontario, this will be a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation opportunity.
