Utility Locator – Telecom (Full Time)

Loc8one – Fairfield, Richland, Kershaw & Chester Counties Pay: $24–$30 per hour + weekly performance bonuses Job Type: Full-Time

Loc8one is expanding and seeking an experienced Utility Locator to support a regional telecom provider across four counties. This position is steady Monday–Friday work, local routes only, and comes with a company truck and all equipment needed.

Responsibilities

- Locate and mark underground telecom facilities (fiber, coax, and copper) using EM locating equipment

- Complete locate tickets accurately and on time

- Document each job with photo proof, notes, and marks

- Communicate clearly with dispatch, contractors, and property owners

- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and daily workflow

- Follow all SC811, NULCA, and industry best practices

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of professional utility locating experience (telecom preferred)

- Strong understanding of locating fundamentals: bleed-off, distortion, induction vs. direct connect, grounding points, and signal behavior

- Valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and handle moderate physical activity

- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

- Must be comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for ticket management

Compensation & Benefits

- $24–$30/hr based on experience

- Weekly bonus for zero callbacks/recalls

- Paid holidays after 90 days

- Long-term work through a regional telecom contract

Routes are local; you’ll be home every night.
