Under broad guidance, the TSD Specialist is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data in accordance with established field and laboratory procedures for use in federal and state regulatory compliance, research programs, and treatment plant optimization. The TSD Specialist will act as onsite supervisor during monitoring and collection of a variety of environmental matrices, treatment processes, and bench scale studies while adhering to strict QA/QC protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, or related science as approved, or
- A bachelor’s degree in other disciplines with at least 30 credit hours of college course work in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, or related science as approved, or
- Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience dealing with complex scientific monitoring, sampling equipment and the ability to follow complex technical directions.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Coast Guard Safe Boater Certificate in the first year of appointment
- HRSD confined space certification in the first year of appointment
