TRUCK STOP MANAGER

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Duties

- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

- Manage inventory control by ensuring that all items are loaded correctly and securely.

- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed.

Skills

- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with clients and suppliers.

- Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.

- Proficiency in bookkeeping, payroll management, inventory management, and cash handling.

- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse clients.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in managing inventory control.

- Strong leadership qualities with experience in supervising teams and managing shifts.

- Knowledge of retail sales practices, merchandising techniques, and pricing strategies.

- Effective time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients.
