Truck Driver

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team Hauling 2500-3000 miles per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer and step deck. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service while transporting freight to designated locations.

Duties

- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently, utilizing forklifts when necessary.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.

- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by DOT regulations.

- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit.

- Ensure the secure transport of goods by properly strapping down loads on flatbeds or ensuring refrigeration units are functioning correctly for temperature-sensitive cargo.

- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by maintaining professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.

- Familiarity with operating, flatbeds and step deck trailers

- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is a plus.

- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.

- Strong understanding of route driving principles and logistics management.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
