JOB SUMMARY
The Treasury Analyst supports debt and treasury operations efforts by supporting debt transactions, ensuring debt compliance, preparing financial analyses, and supporting the accounting close process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares financial analyses for debt financing activities, regulatory filings, and other ad-hoc requests
Contributes to the preparation of presentations and other deliverables for investors, senior management, banks, and rating agencies.
Maintains accurate records of all debt-related activities and transactions.
Prepares journal entries, external reporting deliverable and account reconciliations in support of the accounting close process and SEC/FERC reporting.
Assists with commercial paper and revolver management, as well as with related reporting.
Prepares and execute wire and ACH transactions.
Maintains credit metric calculations and monitor changes to methodologies used by rating agencies to determine credit ratings.
Prepares and distribute debt compliance obligations by required due dates.
Supports interest rate risk management processes.
Supports other ad hoc efforts including, but not limited to, administration of procurement card activity and letters of credit activity
Develops and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, rating agencies and internal individuals, to facilitate effective debt management and communication.
Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Debt Capital Markets and Assistant Treasurer.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (or a related field of study).
Associate Level:
Some related experience in accounting, financial analysis, treasury operations and/or debt financing preferred
Intermediate Level:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, treasury operations and/or debt financing
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, with sound organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively and manage competing deadlines.
Experience with job specific software preferred (i.e., WDesk, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan).
