Job Description
We're looking for a Transportation Sales Manager with a sales-driven mindset to lead our growth efforts in the logistics and freight sector, while ensuring our operations are aligned to support a high-performing sales engine. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about closing deals, optimizing transportation processes, and scaling a growing business from the inside out.
This isn’t a traditional operations role.we want someone who’s energized by hitting revenue goals, building strong client relationships in the transportation space, and helping sales teams win, while also tightening up backend logistics systems to support that growth.
Key Responsibilities:
•Take ownership of transportation sales performance: manage pipeline tracking, lead conversion, and revenue targets
•Work directly with ownership and sales reps to drive client acquisition and retention in freight, trucking, or logistics services
•Build and implement streamlined transportation sales processes that improve efficiency and conversion rates
•Ensure the operations and logistics teams fully support the sales process from lead to final delivery
•Monitor and report on KPIs related to both transportation revenue and operational efficiency
•Identify and remove bottlenecks in the customer journey, from first contact to freight delivery
•Support business development efforts including carrier and client outreach, quoting, and follow-ups
•Analyze market trends and sales performance data in the transportation sector to identify opportunities for growth
•Lead initiatives that improve the client experience and build long-term, reliable relationships
Requirements:
•3+ years in a transportation or logistics-focused sales, business development, or revenue leadership role
•Candidates must possess an established book of business with active, portable client relationships in freight or transportation
•Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, or support high-performing logistics sales teams
•Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage people, processes, and transportation priorities
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially with shippers, brokers, and carriers
•Comfortable using CRM systems, freight management tools, and performance dashboards
•Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics company
