Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Responsible for transportation management (TMS) planning and execution for commodities including, but not limited to, inbound supply, molybdenum, copper, and bulks for US domestic and international transport. Responsible for monitoring and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery. Oversee the transportation and distribution system and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization’s products.
- Fulfill Transportation Management requirements through SAP (TMS) to support and oversee tactical execution of inbound supply, molybdenum, copper, and bulks (including concentrate and acid dispatch plans). Ability to perform duties afterhours, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Proactively track, on a daily basis, every rail and/or truck shipment for all of Freeport’s North American facilities. Communicate any delays or potential problems to stakeholders.
- Total shipment responsibility including trouble-shooting, shipment track-tracing, and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact responsible for resolving transportation (all modes) issues including EDI/API problems.
- Serve as the backup for others in Logistics & Transportation department as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience in transportation, supply chain, business, accounting, or engineering, or the related fields OR
Bachelor’s degree with no experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or Engineering or the related fields.
Experience with SAP and SAP TMS
- Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
- Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $62,000 -$85,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. .
