Overview
We are seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee our field operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
•
Implement effective transportation strategies to optimize routes and reduce costs.
•
Supervise and train drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
•
Monitor drivers and ensure units are in optimal working condition.
•
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and driver performance.
•
Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.
•
Address and attend any transportation-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
•
Conduct regular driver and site audits.
•
Be onsite for new jobs and projects.
•
Hold safety meetings.
•
Attend customer and client meetings.
Qualifications
•
Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.
•
Prior driving experience with a valid Class 1.
•
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
•
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
•
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
•
Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
•
Knowledge of trucks and tanker trailers.
•
Mechanically inclined.
•
Experience in trucking various oilfield products.
•
Current TDG, WHMIS, H2S, First Aid, Hours of Service, and Accident Investigation courses required.
•
There is no set location so you must be available to be away from home time to time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
