Transformer Refurbishment Technician

EEE is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transformer Refurbishment Technician to join our transformer refurbishment team. This is a critical role within our organization, focused on restoring high-voltage transformers to optimal working condition. Youll be responsible for developing and executing the refurbishment process, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

- Hands-On Refurbishment Tasks

- Drain, filter, and replace transformer oil to meet dielectric standards.

- Sandblast and clean transformer surfaces to remove corrosion and prepare for repainting.

- Replace or repair internal components such as bushings, gaskets, coils, and tap changers.

- Conduct electrical testing (e.g., insulation resistance, turns ratio, power factor) to verify performance.

- Reassemble and seal units to factory or better specifications

Qualificaitons

- Proven experience in transformer maintenance, electrical equipment repair, or industrial refurbishment.

- Strong understanding of transformer components and electrical testing procedures.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety documentation.

- Comfortable working with oils, solvents, and mechanical tools in an industrial setting.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
