You’ll work independently or alongside a crew to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of high-voltage equipment for utility and industrial customers.

What You’ll Do:

- Interpret DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis) for OLTC arcing and fault diagnostics

- Independently inspect, drain, filter, and refill OLTC compartments safely and to spec

- Read and interpret OLTC control wiring diagrams, logic, and control cabinet schematics

- Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and feeler gauges

- Provide accurate documentation and work with the transformer team for OLTC condition reporting

The Experience We’re Looking For:

- 5–10 years of experience in transformer testing, field services, and OLTC work

- In-depth understanding of OLTC designs and maintenance procedures across multiple OEM platforms (e.g., MR, ABB, GE)

- Experience with transformer oil work, degassing units, and oil processing equipment

- Proficiency with test sets including DLRO, Megger, SFRA, TTR, Excitation, and Power Factor units

- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and scopes of work

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital reporting platforms

- Comfortable working in the field in varied weather, elevated positions, and around energized equipment

- Strong safety mindset and ability to follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific protocols

Additional Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.

- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam, background check, and drug/alcohol screening.
