Provide for the installation, testing, checkout and maintenance of instruments, controls, HVAC systems and electrical apparatus for all Great River Energy (GRE) facilities. Install, test and maintain security system equipment in the entire GRE system.
A typical starting range for this position is $51.38 - $60.45 hourly. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform and/or assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of building equipment at GRE facilities such as instruments, controls, protections, monitoring, heating and cooling systems, electrical apparatus, AC and DC power systems, fire protection and lighting.
- Perform and/or assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of GRE security systems.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures along with maintaining equipment records in area of responsibility.
- Comply with established GRE safety rules, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for working safely as well as all members of the crew.
Qualifications:
Minimum education requirements include a two-year technical degree/diploma in electrical or electronics related courses, or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Prefer five plus years of instrumentation or building facility and HVAC maintenance experience. MN Boiler License preferred.
- Knowledge of AC and DC circuits including Ohm’s law.
- Knowledge of power, current and voltage transformers.
- Knowledge of safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of AC power measurement, familiarity with inductance, capacitance, and power factor.
- Knowledge of building HVAC systems.
- Skill and ability to use personal computers and related software including test equipment software, building control and monitoring software, security system software, asset management software, Windows-based programs, and email.
- Ability to maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, motors, and HVAC.
- Ability to coordinate work or tasks.
- Ability to be self-motivated and be able to work alone without direct supervision.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to maintain a current medical card to perform the essential job functions.
