Responsible for the operation of welding equipment for the production of oil hydraulic conduits. Will operate machine to conform to standard operating procedures and optimize program for efficient use of equipment and material. Responsible for blue print interpretation and be able to ensure quality product.
1. Read work order instruction and performs work as assigned by work order sheet and supervisor.
2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
3. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
4. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: ability to operate MIG, TIG and Induction welding equipment, responsible for ensuring high quality welds, and maintain close tolerances.
5. Operation of grinders and other hand tools as needed.
6. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to specific customer product requests.
7. Conduct routine quality checks of finished product per instructions.
8. Must be able to work as part of a team.
