Central Lincoln People's Utility District is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. We are seeking one Temporary Facilities Maintenance Worker. This is a temporary contract position through Barrett Business Services Inc. The duration of the contract is valid through 06/30/2026.

Organize, plan, coordinate and oversee facilities maintenance as necessary as well as plan, coordinate and organize the work and contracts with all involved parties, which may include outside vendors, miscellaneous internal departments, other agencies or Utilities.

Function as a working member in all phases of building maintenance in an effort to ensure that Central Lincoln facilities are operating safely and efficiently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits. The amount of time performing each function may vary day-to-day. All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with applicable labor agreements and Central Lincoln’s Safety Manual and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.
JOB FUNCTIONS
•Responsible for routine building maintenance including general cleaning inside and out, HVAC repairs as able, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, light change-outs, furniture moving and small painting jobs for all District facilities and grounds.
•Contact and work with service requestors to prioritize work and provide feedback to service requesters on the status of their request.
•Assembling furniture and related equipment.
•Understanding and operating various power and hand tools.
•Towing trailers and operating small and large equipment.
•Small engine repair and operation, including hydraulic pumps and sump pumps.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate mechanical maintenance and safety concerns.
•Responsible for monthly facility safety inspections and improvements, monitoring and responding to nightly security reporting, and the Florence/Reedsport office recycling program.
•Complete special projects and other duties as assigned to meet team, department and Central Lincoln goals while actively demonstrating accountability and responsibility for achieving desired outcomes and measurable results.
•Develops predictive and preventive maintenance procedures and maintenance intervals for equipment and systems.
•Responsible for maintaining organized and complete files of drawings, inspections, test data, etc., on facilities, equipment, and tools.
•Maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance, including being available, accessible, and able to complete all required essential functions and assigned job tasks during the assigned work schedule.

Work is performed in both office and field environments:
Work in the office environment is sedentary in nature, requiring ability to process oral communication and the ability to enter and read information on a computer. Work in the field environment may require bending, climbing, crawling, stretching, lifting, pulling, pushing, standing, twisting, and walking over uneven ground. There is a common exposure to dust, pollen, traffic, and fumes. Fieldwork may be performed in adverse weather conditions such as snow, rain, wind, flooding, summer heat, etc. When in the field, a significant amount of driving is required.
Work Location: Central Lincoln-Newport, Florence, Reedsport.
Travel: Travel occasionally via traditional modes of transportation (including airline travel) over long distances, some of which may involve one or more night stays out of town, both within and outside the state of Oregon.
