Technician III - Properties

Position Overview

GRDA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technician –

Properties level III at its Transmission headquarters location near

Pryor, OK. The position is responsible for facility repair, maintenance,

and construction as well as other duties as assigned.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

•

Install and maintain various types of flooring in buildings and facilities.

•

Install drywall, apply joint compound, and paint surfaces as needed for repairs or renovations.

•

Pour, finish, and repair concrete surfaces to ensure structural integrity and aesthetics.

•

Perform welding tasks as required for maintenance and repairs.

•

Operate heavy equipment, including man lifts, dump trucks, skid loaders with attachments, and other machinery necessary for the construction, repair, or upkeep of facilities.

•

Follow safety protocols and procedures when performing all tasks to minimize risk and ensure a safe work environment.

•

Work safely around high voltage systems, particularly when performing tasks within substations or other electrical environments.

•

Perform tasks at various heights, utilizing proper safety equipment and techniques.

•

Perform other assigned duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:

•

Proficient in the use of tools and equipment commonly used in the carpentry trade.

•

Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to construction and maintenance activities.

•

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively.

•

Experience in cabinet building and custom woodwork.

•

Skilled in concrete finishing techniques, ensuring smooth and durable surfaces.

•

Basic knowledge of welding processes.

•

Ability to operate welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.

•

Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to manage email communications and complete online training modules.

Education, Training, Experience:

•

High school diploma or equivalent required.

•

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the construction/carpentry trade preferred.

Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:

•

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.

Physical Requirements:

•

Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms.

•

Ability to lift, move and carry weights of up to 80 lb. on a regular basis.

•

Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail.

Other information:

•

Position is located at the Transmission headquarters near Pryor, OK

•

Work location ranges from an office environment to outdoors and/or indoors in high noise/high temperature environment.

•

Travel to various facilities.

•

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
