JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician III will perform both routine preventative maintenance tasks and break/fix and repair of industrial equipment. Other duties including non-technical maintenance, such as general cleaning, re-organizing areas painting, and minor carpentry/construction may be assigned as required by the Facilities Manager. Weekday overtime and weekend work will be occasionally required to repair critical equipment or perform planned projects. Candidates must also be willing to be on call during certain scheduled off hours as shared with the balance of the department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a maintenance or facilities technician {in an industrial/manufacturing environment Preferred.)
•Trained in electrical, LOTOV, confined space entry safety procedures.
•Experience with industrial equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical powered devices. Preferred
•Capability for learning troubleshooting and fixing the above equipment.
•Understanding of 480 – 3 Phase power and motor controls
•Experience with HVAC system maintenance and repair a plus
•Experience with vacuum pumps, induction melting, heat treat furnaces a huge plus.
•Shall supply their own basic hand tools and devices.
•HazMat General Awareness & Hazardous Communication trained.
•Read, write, and speak English fluently.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
•Work with Maintenance Manager to maintain up to date Preventative Maintenance (PM) Schedule
•PM shall include the detailed review and replacement of filters, belts, and monitoring digital equipment readings, measuring powered components via handheld amp-meters and similar devices, greasing mechanical equipment, changing oils.
•Break Fix and Repair tasks will include troubleshooting electrical system issues, motor controls, contactors, heating elements, pressure, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
•Perform equipment welding and fixture/jig metal fabrication in support of manufacturing processes.
•Interact Daily with operators and staff to ensure equipment is available and ready to process inventory in the manufacturing areas.
•Train employees in daily maintenance tasks for their specific equipment and what to watch, feel, or listen for in normal operation.
•Report and/or correct safety concerns with Maintenance Manager and staff.
•Performs maintenance on machinery needed to operate hazardous materials (Scrubber)
•All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Comfortable maneuvering in tight, not easily accessed areas of industrial equipment.
•Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
•Ability to continuously stand or sit.
•Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift repetitively.
•Must be able to wear a respirator.
