Performs advanced storeroom operations, material management, and logistics coordination. Oversee the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials across multiple locations. Leads the execution of complex material requests including kitting, shipping, receiving, and reclamation assessments. Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure material availability aligns with operational schedules and emergency demands. Provides guidance to junior team members and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through advanced cycle counting, root cause analysis, and reconciliation.
- Serve as a key user or trainer for warehouse management systems (e.g., D365, Workday, Maximo).
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance inventory control and material handling efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports; identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor Level I and II warehouse staff; provide guidance on best practices and procedures.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or materials management, with increasing responsibility.
- Proficiency in inventory control systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work overtime hours for emergencies, outages and callouts as required.
- Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, steel toes footwear and 100% cotton or FR clothing etc.).
- Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding fifteen (15) feet and in confined spaces.
- Position requires extended working hours and possible temporary shift change with weekend and holiday work, as required by plant conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor level, and push/pull heavy objects while standing, crouching, and in bent posture.
- Must be able to read reports and use a computer.
- Use of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, and vaping devices is prohibited throughout all indoor and outdoor areas of the facility and all other GRDA owned property.
