$126,360.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the day to day operations and strategic direction of grid infrastructure and distribution maintenance including, reclosers, voltage regulators, capacitors, distribution switching devices and SCADA controlled devices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•

Oversee all power quality initiatives, implement and maintain a predictive maintenance approach

•

Provide support for capital improvement projects

•

Plan and implement programs to achieve long range goals that support the Cooperative Strategic Plan

•

Develop short and long term budgets to support the Cooperative‘s annual financial goals

•

Prepare and present status of programs for senior management and the Board of Directors

•

Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates

•

Develop and implement a condition based maintenance program for all distribution equipment

•

Develop and implement equipment maintenance cycles based on manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices

•

Develop, implement and maintain an annual inspection program for voltage regulators, capacitors, reclosers, switches and other key equipment

•

Evaluate and interpret dissolved gas analysis and fluid quality analysis reports and develop recommendations for corrective action

•

Conduct and train employees in electrical testing, including transformer turns ratio, digital low resistance ohmmeter, fluid dialectic tests, power factor, winding resistance, sweep frequency response analysis, etc.

•

Provide technical support to grid modernization initiatives

•

Develop commissioning and testing protocols for feeder automation and self healing networks

•

Develop a departmental training program for distribution maintenance and testing

•

Establish a power quality program and assist in resolution of power quality related issues across the organization

Supervise the work of office, administrative or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems

•

Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes

•

Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with management

•

Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and work to resolve problems

•

Teach and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided

•

Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action

•

Recruit, instruct and supervise subordinates

•

Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff

•

Develop and review operating procedures

•

Develop and manage department budget

•

Establish work priorities and activities

•

Recommend promotions, transfers, hires and other disciplinary action

•

Establish metrics and prepare monthly reports

•

Coordinate activities with other departments

•

Operate PEC vehicle(s) for business purposes in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local law and PEC policies and procedures

•

Maintain driver eligibility through appropriate valid Texas Driver's License and driving record in accordance with PEC policy

A full range of supervisory activities, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for termination. This includes, but is not limited to, effectively communicating organizational policies and other information to subordinates, ensuring that employees have a clear understanding of their responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

•

Bachelors Degree in a related field of study

•

Experience may substitute for education

•

Six years of directly related experience

•

Six years supervisory experience

•

Valid Texas Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Report that comply with PEC policy
