Job Summary:

Just Energy is seeking candidates for a Technical Risk Analyst in our Houston, TX office. The candidate will be required to get an in-depth understating of the Product Control and Market Risk processes and deliverables. Use the knowledge to support the Product Control team, build risk models in R for the Risk Management team and develop visualization tools for Risk information. Be able to effectively communicate with other teams for the data gathering requirements and present the results to the management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Support Product Control by producing/distributing daily reports and analyzing daily results + Develop risk tools in R and visualization in Power BI + Support Market Risk team by assisting in the development of analytical models + Automation of key reports in R. + Lead key projects independently.

Requirements

+ Strong business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and data-driven decision-making capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong proficiency in R, Power BI and SQL + Familiarity with software development practices + Familiarity with related tools available in environments such as Azure DevOps + Proclivity for good code practices such as logging, testing and documentation + 1-3 year experience in a technical field

Education:

+ Degree in a technical field (academic and/or practical exposure to topics such as software development, app development, technical quantitative modeling).
