Basic Function
Technical Application Specialist is a Qualitrol Technology team’s senior position to drive development of complete CBM and asset specific monitoring market opportunities globally. The ideal candidate will be an Industry expert in the field of Power Transformers with proven track record of innovation and profound understanding of asset health monitoring. This position will be the primary liaison with the product managers, sales and engineering teams for ideation of CBM solutions based on assets or parameters (as applicable for various Utilities, Industrial and Oil & Gas segments globally).
The position will also be an expert resource for the Global sales and TAS team and based out of Americas. The main objective is to influence the end user specifications for Condition Monitoring by Qualitrol offerings. The desired behavior to attain this objective is to develop the following core competencies.
- First step is proactive support to sales, responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our Condition Monitoring solutions.
- Second step is education & standardization, delivering key seminars and lunch & learns; drive demand for company solutions through standardization.
- Final step is to help marketing team define segment market strategies and required product innovation.
The ideal candidate must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and various company employees to influence throughout defined processes.
Essential Duties
- Establish technical authority with customers, reinforce Qualitrol brand. Assist sales teams in technical specifications and its responses for various RFIs/RFQs.
- Offer solutions-based seminars and presentations to relevant customer problems.
- Provide strategic growth direction based on evolving Industry trends and standards.
- Lead participation at industry standard organizations and conferences. Responsible for representing Qualitrol’ s interest in the standard associations and events (e.g. CIGRE, IEEE, IEC etc.).
- Publish papers and application notes, sharing best practices and customer success stories.
- Growth in adjacent spaces, competitive landscape and market intelligence.
- Be an inclusive leader, keep business, sales and marketing leaders and their teams in synchronization with the changing market dynamics
- Able to travel globally to promote and close various opportunities
Qualifications
Ideal candidate must be an industry expert with a bachelor degree and relevant industry experience. Proven record in integrating monitoring solutions and its site installation and testing. Comfortable with a dynamic, highly technical environment. Must possess strong presentation and communication skills. Organized and analytical, able to drive growth by translating company solutions in to various value propositions for available customer opportunities. Must be prepared for domestic or international travel (50 to 60%).
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
10+ years of experience in Electric Power Assets, various sensing technologies and associated software analytics and industry standards.
Active membership with IEEE, CIGRE, IEC with contribution to industry standards a plus.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 126,700.00 - 235,300.00
