Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
•Pickups of pit and dragline advances, stockpiles, reclamation areas, etc.
•Drone surveying and Trimble GPS staking.
•Assisting mine planners.
•Road and infrastructure design and layout.
•Assuming other duties and/or responsibilities as required in response to changing circumstances and the economic and physical environment of the Mine or Company.
Typical Physical Demands
The candidate must be physically fit with the ability to travel by foot or vehicle. Some requirements for this position include: lifting, walking on uneven ground, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Qualifications and Skills
•Diploma in Survey or Mine Technology.
•Two to four years of experience in mining operations or technical professional setting preferred, but not required (equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered).
•Familiar with the use of survey instruments for monitoring, data acquisition and computation.
•Working knowledge of computer software applications and capabilities as related to work requirements.
•Effective time management, planning and communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Valid Class 5 driver's license.
