The Surveyor manages multiple sites layout and project monitoring using GPS and surveying tools, conducting topographic surveys, and construction layout is essential. Strong math skills, accuracy, and the ability to work outdoors in all-weather are required. This individual provides quality surveying services to company to ensure construction work complies with design drawings and specifications. Performs survey measurements for job set-up, stake-out. Provides survey support to job site personnel as required throughout the course of a project. This role reports to Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
· Coordinates the initial layout at the job site and providing continuous monitoring of the jobsite progressions of our installation
· Provides project control local network required for construction stakeout & GPS
· Knows of grade work, materials, underground utilities and highway work.
· Interprets drawings and specifications and applies them to the physical layout at the job site.
· Possesses experience with TopCom GPS equipment, Trimble machine control, Trimble total station setup and Trimble Works Manager.
· Utilizes and has a thorough understanding of surveying practices and equipment use
· Performs work carefully and with great accuracy
· Ability to self-organize with daily reports and quality control reports
· Ability to safely navigate jobsites and collect data accordingly
