Team Leader-Field Specialists

Summary of Responsibilities:

Are you ready to lead a team that keeps critical infrastructure projects running smoothly? ATC is looking for a Team Leader – Field Specialists to provide hands-on leadership and oversight for our Field Specialist team. This role ensures quality, compliance, and safety while supporting capital projects in the field.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

- Lead and Support: Supervise Field Specialists and set clear expectations for internal and external stakeholders

- Ensure Quality: Conduct visual inspections of materials, document non-conformances, and maintain accurate records

- Coordinate Projects: Oversee material schedules, delivery, and receipt while monitoring contractor labor and equipment resources against project plans

- Drive Safety: Champion ATC’s strong safety culture by promoting safe work behaviors and addressing hazards promptly

- Collaborate: Work closely with project teams to understand observation scope and reporting requirements

- Travel: Expect periodic travel, outdoor work, and overnight stays to support construction activities.

What You’ll Bring

- Education: Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience

- Experience:

- 7+ years in transmission or distribution system construction or equivalent utility experience

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of contract management, labor agreements, and construction of substations and transmission lines

- Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with general business processes

- Other: Valid driver’s license required

The targeted base pay for this position is $134,500 to $156,900 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much
