Responsible for the entire sequence of cutting and welding operations for a wide variety of repair and fabrication work. Aligns and welds components of metal tools, wires, fixtures and other metal products. May utilize different types of welding systems for different tasks. Maintains a safe work area and may train apprentices in the trade.

The Welding Team Lead is responsible for leading the department through daily operations, including the entire sequence of cutting and welding operations for a wide variety of repair and fabrication work. The Team Lead ensures that all welders are aligning and welding components of metal tools, wires, fixtures and other metal products. The position requires a strong background in welding, problem-solving and working with blueprints. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment, the ability to lead teams and excellent critical thinking skills to ensure optimal productivity and overall team performance.
